Weather & Wind Precautions

Our property is located high on a hillside overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. While this gives you spectacular views, it also means we occasionally experience strong winds.

Before Leaving the Apartment

Always close all windows — Even on calm days, wind can pick up suddenly. Please ensure all windows are securely shut before you go out.

Outdoor Furniture

Windy conditions: When it’s windy, please secure the outdoor furniture to the railings using the provided straps/cables.

Pool Area Cushions

Important: After using the pool lounger cushions, please return them to the storage room by the pool. This protects them from wind damage and keeps them in great condition for your next use.

Thank you for helping us maintain our outdoor spaces!

Waste Separation

In Funchal, waste is separated into three main categories:

Organic and General Waste (Resíduos Orgânicos e Gerais)
